Asphalt Maintenance

Asphalt maintenance is essential in the mountains and high desert areas. Our extreme hot and cold temperatures prematurely age asphalt unless proper and regular maintenance is performed. Under traffic load, asphalt starts deteriorating under the surface where it cannot be seen. Small cracks will come to the surface where other factors such as expansion and contraction from hot and cold temperatures, standing water, and ice speed up the deterioration of the asphalt. Cracks that come to the surface will not only widen over time and traffic load but can also become alligatored or broken, creating potholes, standing water problems, and tripping hazards.
